It was great to hang out with folks at the EdinburghJS social event last week, and good to see a few new faces join the group. Tech meetups are often a good way for folks who have just moved to Scotland to meet like-minded people and make new friends. I’m glad that we have a friendly group to welcome people to the city! The JS meetups will be taking a short break for the summer, but we’ll be back in September for more talks. Keep an eye on the bulletin!

Ally Maxwell (FanDuel) has announced TechSysters, a new community group for women in tech (we’ll list the Meetup events in our bulletin so you don’t miss them). You can find the group and their first event on their meetup page.

The STAC “IoT” 18-month accelerator programme is now open. Applications due by August 18th.
