Bulletin 2026 Week 8
There is a new (and frantic) energy over the past few months in the software industry as people figure out how to use AI both in and to build their projects. There are a fair few demo nights, vibe coding sessions and new meetups being launched. I’m keen to hear from people about what they are building. We have an AI channel in our Discord server and I’m happy to host lunch-n-learn or evening video chats for people to share tips and tricks. Let me know if you’d be interested?
This week I’ll be hosting EdinburghJS where we’ll be hearing from Oleksandr Piekhota on WordPress, Next.js, and Cloudflare. I hope to see people there!
I added a quick Luma registration link to the website, for events hosted on the Luma platform. I posted a demo video on my LinkedIn and on Bluesky.
Dave Craig posted in our Discord seeking help with Soundscape App, supported by the Scottish Tech Army.
The app helps people who are blind and visually impaired explore and navigate …What we’re looking for are some native speakers of languages other than English who can either help review our current language support or help with adding a new language.
Hop into the Discord message or check out the Github Repo.
