Kat and Jaime at GlasgowJS

It was a busy week last week. GlasgowJS was a success with Kat speaking about DIY linters and Jaime speaking about TresJS 3D in JavaScript. Both of these videos are now published in the Scottish Technology Club library. You can keep up with Kat on katk.dev and Jaime on lab.jaimetorrealba.com.

I have added Recently Listed and Meetups and Orgs pages to the website. These will hopefully make it easier to find events and groups you might be interested in. As I gather more data I’ll expand on the way we list groups and people in order to make more connections. I posted a quick video on Twitter X to demo the new pages.

In content in the last week or so, Rusty posted a video on How to message a Service Worker from a Web App, Daniel streamed Nuxt ui without nuxt? and a short video on Nuxt vs Nuxi. Ljupche, who will be hosting EdinburghJS this Tuesday, posted a video on Another three advanced Typescript techniques.

There are a lot of events on this week across the Scottish tech scene. I’m organising EdinburghJS on Tuesday. Emmanuel Demey, who spoke at the last EdinburghJS will be doing a lunch and learn with the Scottish Tech Army on the same day on Mastering Playwright. Re-tech, the renewables technology meetup is happening in Glasgow on Thursday and Haggis Ruby on the same day in Edinburgh.

Looking further ahead check out Edinburgh Umbraco Users Group social get together on Oct 30th, and Rust and friends pub meetup on Nov 21st. If you are interested in a Dundee JavaScript meetup then hop into our Discord and let William know!
