Bulletin 2025 Week 25

We are now in the third year of publishing the Scottish Technology Club bulletin, and to celebrate I’ve released a new version of the site. The homepage and whats on page have been improved, highlighting upcoming events better. I’ve moved from a weekly updated static site to a database-powered one, making it easier to quickly publish new events and updates. I’ve added a topics page that gives you links to meetup groups and events on particular subjects. Over the next week or two I’ll add more topics and start categorising individual events as well as groups.
A big thank you to the folks who support the club on Patreon. This funding helps cover the hosting and SaaS costs for the website, email, and JavaScript meetups. A big thanks to TravelPerk and BJSS who sponsor the JS meetups too. I’m glad that thanks to all this generosity we can run open events that help strengthen our local tech community.
This week I’m organising Geo and JS, hosted by Amandine with Mike (Rust and Friends organiser), Swagata and Luke (Esri) doing talks on geo-related topics.
In conent from the community this week:
- Michael wrote about going beyond vibe coding, using AI for other business functions
